Hi guys looking for advice to a 12 volt electric car question.
The question is if 12 volts DC were to be the only available power source, what are the most logical choices for powering a 120V ceramic heater element ranging from 900W to 1500W.
I can see that there are power inverters that are able to supply the required amount of wattage, and I have looked at a couple of upconverters, but it occurred to me that there may be an easier way considering it is merely a resistor of sorts.
Since this is just a resistor can it be ran from a 12 volt source directly, or would this be folly to pursue this path?
If there is a thread I missed pertaining to this topic that is recalled please direct me to it.
