Does Anyone have a detail similar to the attached from USDA?

What I'm really looking for is one that had the option to add a mesh privacy screen. Concerned about wind load.

Thanks

Why is that called a deer fence?
In WI to keep deer in or out people use two 8' tall (or taller) fences about 6' apart.
A deer will jump a 7' fence from standing still right next to it.
Of course, we are talking about big deer.
Where are you?
You might try through the state as wind loads will be a more local issue.

The chainlink fence manual has great wind load information.

I'm in the Mid-Atlantic, MD, VA, Etc.
No clue how high deer jump, but a 7ft fence is the requirement, so that's what we're doing.

What is the "Chainlink Fence Manual"? A google search doesn't come up with anything .

No clue how high deer jump,

Out here in the west, the mule deer will clear 8 ft fences fairly easily, and the whitetails will clear 10 ft fences. Granted, a 7 ft fence may deter them, if they're not too determined to get to the other side.

It's kind of like they say, all security is just a deterrent, if a thief is really determined he's going to break in. Animals are no exception, but the fence will keep out the 99%.

Thank you for the reference manual dik. Structural isn't my strong suit, the two main differences here are the line posts are cedar and the wire material in Welded Wire is much thinner. Than adding the privacy screen greatly increases the wind load, I would think

then use a bigger mesh opening.... it will give you an idea... as far as the posts, that's another problem... mounted in gravel? CLSM or concrete?
