Where is the reset in the point constructor...
where is in the plane dialog the point perpendicular curve the ability to select a (foreign) point in not an the curve
is selected?
is there workaround or something I've not seen to far?

"Roles" are new in NX5 - you may want to read-up on them.

But for now:

Go to your "Roles" tab. Mine is three tabs under the "History" tab.
Click (maybe double-click) on "Advanced with full menus" icon
You should now get all of your functions. I may have left something out here - but this is basically how to do it.

We've added a general 'reset' icon to ALL of the new NX 5 dialogs. Therefore we've removed all of the special 'reset' buttons from those dialogs that have been updated to the new UI NX 5 standard.

See the image referenced below showing where that new general purpose 'reset' button is located.

As for your comment about the "plane dialog" I'm not sure exactly what you're taking about. Could you be a little more clear in describing the function that you feel that you've lost?

thank you John,
the reset I haven't known .
In the plane dialog was in recent Nx version for definition the ability to create a point perpendicular to a curve.
This point is (must) not located on the curve was selected like it is in Nx5 where the point is fixed on the selected curve. In older Nx version I can select other points.

OK, I think this is what you're looking for. After entering the Datum Plane dialog, first select the Point and then the Curve. When you do a preview of the Datum will appear and if there are multiple possible solutions, the 'Plane Orientation' section of the dialog will open and the 'Alternate Solution' option will become active. Simply select the icon/button until the preview shows your desired arrangement.

You are trying to use the wrong plane construction type. The one it appears that you're selecting is 'On Curve', which will only allow you select a point on the some curve referenced, which it appears you've aleady discovered on your own. I would recommend that you try either 'Point and Direction' or 'Points and Curves' as either of these should address what you're attempting. Note that 'Points and Curves' is the more general of the two types and it's one that uses the 'Plane Orientation' section of the dialog with the 'Alternate Solution' option.
