Hi,
I am looking for a material which could work as a membrane. Membrane of thickness in range 0.2mm-0.5mm.
The membrane will be pushed (on depth of approx. 1mm) by array of little metal pins acting as a punch (each pin of diameter approx. 1mm and pins in array 3x3, pins very close to each other). Pins will be pushing the membrane into corresponding holes in a plate/matrix. Obviously proper tolerances maintained in pins driving mechanism (reciprocating motion) will prevent the membrane being squeezed by pins against side walls of holes in matrix.
The membrane will not be in contact with water.
I need to be able to make the membrane myself (by casting it properly) despite that some sheet silicone/rubber materials are available on the market.
I have already tested DOW CORNING 734 silicone.
I am looking for material which could be sort of silicone or another one.
I do some research on my own looking for alternative materials but I would like also to ask for some advices. Any ideas?
Thanks.
