i am looking for aluminum epoxy so i can make some molds.

i am wondering if body filler would work.

if not where..... all i seem to get is people who want to make the mold for me......

also. what would be a good release agent for pe or pp with this mold......

i am trying to get my milling machine up, bad brakes. i have to have the shoe relined.

anyway so what do you mean chips in the ceiling?

any ideas of where i can get the stuff or what it is called?

jim

Aluminum can be machined at pretty high speeds.

I especially like 2024, which makes a beautiful short chip if you're cutting it fast enough.

When you're cutting fast, and the chips are breaking correctly, a horizontal spindle will throw chips up far enough to hit a lot of shop ceilings.

ok sorry to frustrate you pat, i did look at devcon website and didn't know what i was looking for sin they have have plethora of products.

thanks mcgyvr
thanks mike for the clarification

Look for an aluminium filled grade of epoxy with minimum shrinkage and good conductivity and recomended for moulds. I don't remember any more without doing the same search.

Pat
