We have a spot welding machine and projection welding machine side by side, welding the same part.

The jig which locates the part is made of ferrous material.

After welding for some time, even though the jig is electrically isolated from the lower electrodes and only makes contact to the part on locaters & electrodes, there is physically no way any heat to the amount we have, could travel to the centre point of the jig.

We are aware it must be mutual induction from the weld process.

Is there a way to calculate any losses that occur.

I.e current, etc etc
