Lost a very useful command

Can anyone please tell me what command is under the up arrow key on the keyboard? I never knew what that command name was and now that I lost it while making new short keys I have no way of getting it back. The command allows you to place your cursor over an area where there are a bunch of elements and upon hitting the up arrow key it would bring up a list of all the elements so you could pick the one you want out of the crowd. Thank you for any help.
