Hi all

First post so be kind.

Is anyone else having issues with “mate invalid”?

My story

I thought that I had this narrowed this down to the "added textures". I had added all of the material and textures to our start parts. (Only to have to delete them all). When someone would use the start parts and mate them in an assembly then try to change the over all size like a 4x4x.50 plate to 4x5x.50 plate it would cause the mate to become invalid and lose all face to face mates (like it would rename the face). However it would keep all plain mates. So I pulled a copy of the start parts before the change and started to use them. Stop having mate invalid issues. “So I thought”
I am still having issues with tube frames. I have a tube frame with standard 2x2x3/16 wall (4) leg's, (4) top tubes 45 deg. both ends and (4) support tubes. When I try to change the overall size it would cause the mate to become invalid and lose all face to face mates. Still keeping all plain to plain mates I understand that help is not a good description but HELP!!!

Stay tuned for the rest of the story.

PS. I have tried this on sp0.0 – sp 2.1 2004 solidworks all works the same
