A low emergy impact is a drunk falling to the pavement.

A hard lateral impact is being t-boned by a Corvette doing 180 mph.

Now, were you investigating a head on, or a lateral impact, or both?

It is very vague what you ask.
Low energy implies a low kinetic energy involved, (drunk dude about 6 feet off the ground will only have 6/2 feet *m*g potential energy that may be converted into kinetic which eventually gets absorbed by the sidewalk (and his face)
Hard lateral may imply a direct perpendicular hit with high energy. Possibly a quad carrying a huge rock drops the rock right on the sidewalk.

hmm.... i think I should have gone with the pecker + [gorgeous] analogy
