Does anybody have low in-rush (250% FLA) speed/torque & speed/current/pf data for 10MW, 11kV induction motor? Also the load torque curves for the same size compressor?
I will appreciate any help,
Thanks.

Are you asking if anyone has done something similar? I don't know how usefull it would be to use someone elses analysis because every motor is going to be different, every power supply system is going to be different and every compressor is going to be different. How are you going to limit the starting current to 250%? That would make a difference in the analysis as well. To do it right, you need to get the motor DOL torque speed curves, the compressor torque speed requirement curves, whether the comressor is going to start loaded or unloaded, and as much data as you can on the power supply, i.e. transformer size and impedance, cable/bus sizes and lengths, other loads on-line during start etc. etc. Then you need to run a Transient Motor Starting Analysis. Software for that is available from several sources, we use SKM and it has been dead on correct every time.

Thanks jraef.
I am trying to run the Transient Motor Starting study for the 10MW compressor motor on gas turbine + steam turbine generators, a hybrid power generation system.

There is one manufacturer that I know had supplied low inrush motor 270% of FLA for compressor application and that is Laurence, Scott & Electromotors Ltd. I am trying to get typical data from them,
Thanks.
