Low pressure air test

Hello All,

could someone clarify if the low pressure air test at 6 bar is a mandatory requirement for valves (API6D or API6A) ?

Hi Lorb,

The low pressure seat test is a supplementary test in API 6D and so is only performed by the manufacturer if specified by the purchaser (or if he feels like doing it).
