Low pressure (LP) Steam condensate Fin Fan Cooler fouling

[PetroDDP]

LP condensate is being cooled in Fin fan cooler from 100 degree to 55 degree C. Inlet pressure 1 kg/cm2g.Material of Construction is Carbon steel.

The cooler is located for cooling of condensate from Amine treating unit and waste water stripping unit.

Which parameters should be tested in laboratory for LP Condesnate sample to find out the root cause of fouling.

Which type of fouling Mechanism is taking place ?

Have you analyzed the deposits to see what is in them?

The sample has been collected for laboratory analysis. Apart from checking Iron content,pH and Oil & Grease-sample is being analyzed.Kindly suggest what else need to be tested for the same ?

Condensate systems are mostly under attack from dissolved untreated CO2 and carbonates should be present in the sample presumably!

Let the results confirm this, or otherwise!
