Low Proe-03 results for fx 1300 and fx 3450 on Dell 1

I have just purchased a quadro fx 3450 to replace the fx 1300 on my Dell ws470. I have downloaded SpecView 8.1 to help me benchmark the the two cards to help me select the best driver. I am running windows xp pro and xp x64 (dual boot). As a comparison I am also benchmarking an ati fire gl x1 running on a Dell ws360, and also the fx 1300 run a Dell XPS Gen4 (to see if the processore makes a big difference)
My issues are the low scores I am getting for the quadros compared with the published results (from Specview), and also against the fire gl x1 which is running on a slower machine.
Below are some of the the ProE results I have run. I notice that there are some differences between the fire gl x1 and quadros in terms of the visual buffer number and the stencil, but have no idea what these affect.
I suspect it may be driver related, since my original scores with the fx1300 are higher than with the current driver (but this driver does not officially support the fx 3450)
Alternatively, does anybody know the best drivers to use for the fx 3450 on xp pro and xp x64, and should I just ignore the Proe-03 results? I am happy with the performance in shaded mode, it is the wireframe particularly with hidden line regeneration time after you stop moving the model that I would like to reduce, but I guess this maybe more processor dependent than graphics card.

DELL XPS Gen4, 3,46GHz Pentium 4EE, Quadro fx1300 DRV 77.18 (I think, definately not driver 77.56)
NB, I did run this with DRV 77.56 and got similar results except that test 6 scored only 60.
Obviously the Proe-03 mean result dropped, i think to around 27.

The specviewperf numbers are not very usefull.
Use the OCUS benchmark at It is an application benchmark and not as affeceted by driver cheats.

It is best to only look at numbers from tests you have run yourself. The stuff on the web is of limited use becasue you don't know all the details.

With any test run it a few times on a machine that has just been rebooted for the most reliable results.
