LPDA on PCB I need help

I have noticed that Winradio have a logperiodic antenna on PCB.

I looks like they feed the antenna from the rear instead from the front as normal.
Does anyone know if there is problem/special design hint to do this ? I need to use this type of feed in an other design.
I am also interested in any (!) designes of log-periodics on PCB. Please.
