LS Dyna Implicit SMP or MPP

Hi, I'm running thermo-mechanical coupled transient analyses with fairly non-linear material properties. The solver used is LD Dyna 971 - Double precision solver. I have some issues with the scaling at multiple cores. So my question is if there is some ideas if I should try to tweak the solver time with SMP or MPP. Grateful for suggestions and ideas. /Per
