Hey there,
I m looking for a way to simulate a material in LS-DYNA with two different youngs-moduli (one for tension, one for compression). Furthermore it should have two different yield points (one for tension, one for compression). Please see also the image attached. []
Why do I need this:
I ve got a metal matrix composite material which is prestressed during manufacture due to thermal loads. Tension stress is in parts of the matrix so high that yield occurs. Therefore the tangent modulus of the matrix decreases in tension, whereas it remains constant in the pressure domain.
To be able to omit a thermal step in advance to further loadsteps, I d like to simulate the metal matrix composite with the thermally reduced material properties of the matrix.
