I've been reading up on what kind of machine specs I'll need to efficiently do Simulation. I haven't done anything with it in a long time. A software engineer recommended the tower, but a vendor says the mobile workstation would do the trick. Specs attached for the tower. Here is a link to the mobile workstation: Dell Precision 7740. Details of operation below. Any input would be greatly appreciated. One note, I'd like to be able to still run CAD while the Simulation is running.

Details of operation:

Parts, assemblies, and subassemblies
Up to ≃100 parts (not including fasteners)

Running SolidWorks 2019, will need to run 2020 at some point

Won't be many other programs running concurrently (probably just MS Office and Chrome)

I do NOT foresee much rendering, if any

Not many highly detailed surfaces

Probably won't use the SolidWorks thread feature much, certainly not in large assemblies or on long threads

I like to use fastener models from the vendor's site (mostly McMaster, and they sweep cut the threads)

Bar linkages might need limit mates

Mostly machined parts and sheet metal. Some injection molded

Probably connected to a 28-32" monitor via HDMI
