Hi Everyone:)

I'm working in plant where old technology meet today's.
My problem is that we have too many people installing or changing out any color and size air hoses (airlines) when ever they feel like.
As you can assume that is slowly making a big mess!!
I really hate that, some time we have long downtime on machines just to find out where lines are coming from or go to. Just because some one replaced 5 ft long hose with three different colors on same line.

I like to find out if it's any regulations In USA when/if you use *red or any other color* line, etc. on Industrial equipment. Are you req. to label them? do you have to replace them with same color? Etc.
So if any one has any info about general standard/regulations about airline connections please let me know. Any website or books or anything will help.

Thanks
boke :)

P.S Plant is running @120 PSI.

In a lot of jurisdictions, air hose assemblies under this kind of pressure will fall under one of the ASME pressure piping codes, depending upon the diameter and/or connection size. I'd suggest that ensuring code compliance would be a good place to start.
