In general, you need to project along something other than the tool axis. In most fixed axis operations, we look down the tool axis to place the tool on the part, so an undercut is never reached. There are ways to machine undercuts, such as surface contouring with the projection vector sideways, or non-tolerant cavity milling.How does one go about applying a toolpath to cut a surface that is undercut, with a lollipop tool?
