Macro to cycle parameter inputs and write output parameters to excel file?

Hi everyone, I have a 3D wireframe model of an automotive suspension in WF5 that takes parameters for roll, pitch and steering angles, and outputs parameters for camber and toe angles amongst others. I want to write a macro that will plot the output parameters for a given range on input parameters automatically to an excel file. For instance I would like to be able to plot camber from 0-5° roll in .25° increments. To do this manually is slow and time consuming, how would I go about doing this automatically?

1986 was a good year or maybe you were born on Aug6 or have 85 dragon brothers.


It would be possible to Use ProProgram to achieve this you csn have it take inputs for Variation Step of the input parameters. and then modify and auto regen the Master Model part or assembly skeleton model. You also may possibly create a Family Table of instances then make a table of the Family Table Parameters and resultant. Coulden't you just write a macro in Excel it may be easier but I can't be sure of that since I'm not a huge Excel Geek. Do you have a license for mechanism functionality? That would definately help. This is not the only Forum on the web you can check out MCADcentral and the Pro/User forums or contact your PTC Software provider.

I do not have much or any automotive industry experience but I know UGNX, Pro/E and Catia.

Can you reveal what company you work at or share any similar but not confidential images sketches or diagram of what you are calculating?
That information may help people determine better answers to your questions.
