Thanks nbucka, so if we are going to wind bifiller centre tap secondary winding of a transformer, we can start with the centre tap and continue till we end up with two terminals. one will pass the centre tap ( N+.1} and the other terminal will end just before the centre tap (N-.1}.
Can we call these two windings magnetically equal and each has N turns ? neglect the small difference in the wire ohm resistance
The resistance determines the loss in the form of heat,
the voltage changes with the inductance which depends
on the magnetic force lines IN THE CORE.
For simplicity let's call the portion of the wire
which is perpendicular to the iron core "lead" and
the portion which surrounds the core "coil"
If you want equal voltage, make sure that the
angle between the beginnings and ends of both coils
are the same, in this case 24.9*360 = 8964 degree
and their distance from the core (diameter) is not
too different. The leads have no effect on the voltages
In normal 50 or 60 hertz or audio transformers, nuumber of turns is the number of turns that pass through the core. There are no 1/2 or 1/4 or 0.95 turns.
An exception is with an E-I core. In this case there can be a 1/2 turn, but the 1/2 turn will have high impedance.
