Wow, I just found this on accident, and I wanted to post it up to see if anyone else knows about this. This could be a really handy little feature.

If you press "G" on the keyboard, a little circle popes up where the mouse cursor is, and it magnifies the area that the courser points to.

I just discovered this, and figured I'd share with everyone.

OK, that's it.

Was introduced in SW2009. Neat little feature.

If I can get the light just right, I can use it to burn computer bugs.

Always check out the What's new, if you skip a version go get the What's new from your VAR and look through it.. its easy to miss new functionality if don't read and review the What's New.

Pressing "S" allows for shortcuts so you don't have to drag your mouse pointer all over the place, customized shortcut panels make it even better...

Shame the G doesn't have an additional "stop", "freeze" or "lock in place" option so you could do some PW rendering with the magnifier in the right place. But with RealView graphics, shaded and no edges and perspective on, even SW screen can produce a fair Screen Capture...

Thanks for all the comments.

Its a good tool and I use it often.

Have you used live sections.

It is a nifty little tool. Although, I got to admit, after finding it, I haven't really found a good use for it. If I have to get a better view of something, I just zoom in on it. Maybe I'm just so used to scrolling in when I need to, that it's part of my muscle-memory. I'll try to use it a little more and see if it increases my productivity.

No, I haven't heard of Live sections.
