Actually, the ASME B&PV code has a section (Sectiions VI, and VII) devoted to proper care of power boilers and for heating boilers. Very comprehensive material regarding operation, water chemistry, maintenance and repair. You could purchase individual sections versus the entire set of code books to save $$$$

Check the asme.org web site and find your way to the Boiler and Pressure Vessel codes.
