Hi,

I'm looking for an excel spreadsheet to download, that someone created for their manufacturing company, that I can use as a basis for my Make Vs Buy Spreadsheet.

So, to explain what a Make Vs Buy Spreadsheet is, it's a spreadsheet that has a bunch of factors in a manufacturing environment on what it would take to make a part/assembly vs. have someone else make it for you.

So, the spreadsheet adds up all the costs of all the factors of Make and of Buy. And, gives you an empirical value to consider when deciding if you want to Make Vs Buy.

If anyone knows where I can download a free version of it, which I can customize later, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the link!

It's got the basic idea.

I want to analyze empirically the make vs buy factors, i.e. material cost, shipping, labor, overhead, etc.

The decision matrix should give me some dollar comparison of both, so that we know how much money would be saved or not saved.

This matrix doesn't go into that. It does give non-empirical factors that should be considered also though.
