Hello,
I need help on postprocessing stage to be customized.
What I need is to make Warning when postprocessing, if gauge check has not been done, NX will say "Postprocess is aborted, Please do the Gauge Check!".
And when gauge Check has been done, There is no Warning.

Someone has doing this with good result, please share me how the way.

Thank you,
With Regards,

Are you using Post Builder?

There is a abort command you can add a message to MOM_abort " YOUR MESSAGE HERE "

I use it to test for a valid Work Offset

#
# IF THE WORK OFFSET IS GREATER THAN 6 AND LESS THAN 100
# ABORT WITH MESSAGE
#

if { $mom_fixture_offset_value > 6 && $mom_fixture_offset_value < 100 } {MOM_abort "

HEY!! THE FIXTURE OFFSET VALUE IS BOGUS !!
CHECK THE MCS

Hi John,
Thank you for your help, your sample above is creating some ideas for me.

Yes, the postprocessor is created with Post Builder, long time ago.
The customer needs their postprocessor to be customized for gauge check. They use NX 10.0.

So Now I should use the MOM Variable of Gauge Check, Is it available in Post Builder?

Not sure what you mean by Gauge Check

You can test what the Check Geometry value is by using mom_stock_check_geometry. Which may be what your using for GOUGE checking

Let me make this clearer.

Based on previous CNC accidents, the reason it happened is because some of the tool paths have not been verified by gauge check.
The manager decided to create a new role for the user, that each program should be verified with a gauge check, before post-processing.

Therefore, a warning in PostBuilder (If available) is needed as a reminder to the NX CAM user if he forgets whether he has done a gauge check or not, the postprocessor will always give a warning and cancel if a path has not been gauge checked before.

Thank you,
Maryadi
