Hello Community,

I recently moved to NX 4. What is bothering me is that the 3d solids are covering my wireframe geometry. Is there anyway I can make my wireframe-datums, sketches and lines always visible even when lying behind solids. My workaround is to make the Solid body transparent whenever my sketch line penetrates or lies behind this solid.I consider this as very inconvinient especially when sketching or searching for a datum object which is embrassed by solid geometry.

Greetings
Tish

Starting with NX 7.5 we have a new display mode called 'See-Thru' which allows you to see through solid models so that normally hidden objects can be seen and easily selected:

Thank you John. This solves my dilema. Looks like I need to live with it until we upgrade to NX8 at the end of the year.

You can always view dependently edit the edges so they show the way you want.

View Dependent edit only works with a drawing. I don't think that was the issue here.

I think you are right John.
