Managing Multiple Components With ôMulti-Instantiationö Feature

Using Catia V5R19;

Is there any way to control or manage multiple components created with the “Multi-Instantiation” Feature? The product tree becomes very messy, any way to place these under the command or in folders?

As far as I've used it, multi instantiation is just an easier way of inserting x number of additional instances of a certain component (screw, bearing, etc). In that sense, you get many components in the tree because you have many components in your assembly. The closest thing I can find to 'grouping' or putting the objects in 'folders' in Catia is to insert them into a new 'component' and then make the component 'flexible'. Being flexible allows you to constrain the components (say, screws) to features of your master assembly, essentially allowing you to group all said components together, and just collapse that portion of the tree when you don't want to see the individual screws. This was not the intention of 'flexible subcomponents' but in my experience it fill that role.

If anyone else knows of a proper way to do this, I'm also interested to find out. One of my major annoyances with Catia is that I can't group components together easily like I can with Pro-E.
