Manually drawing survey lines with R14 & Lddt r1

A surveyor does deed checks and wants the drawing done as described in the deed ie N34d23'45"w distance 342' etc.
How to set up the drawing to match the N coord and where o starts n, e, and the rotation cw or ccw.

To draw a line to follow your given info, at the "to point" prompt type:

342@N34d23'45"w

Set your units to 'surveyor' so when you list line information it will report in surveyor units. For checking coordinates, start drawing the parcel boundary at the given cordinates (N/E or x/y).

I think you should pick the start location and type the
coordinates as follow:

@342<N34d23'45&quot;W

There is no need to set the angular units to 'surveyor'.
