Manufacturing a cage with thousands of holes

Hi everyone,

We have just received an enquiry that is reversed engineering of a control valve cage with thousands of holes. Our manufacturing manager has calculated the required time for machining all these holes (OD=1.5 mm) about 1500 hour with manual milling machine.

My question is: Is there any faster manufacturing method for machining all these holes??

Buy perforated sheetmetal and attach it to a supporting structure.
