I am looking for an Excel template I can use while preparing Labor Standards. Does anyone know of a good source for one?

Recommended for you

I am interested in a workmanship standard. I would like to be able to document the time at each station and the cumulative time for the product line.

[highlight #000000]Based on my 20 some years of trying to do this I would suggest that you work with your shop foreperson or similar and a couple of your better employees to develop your own chart.

This is an extremely difficult task because people are incredibly complex. I suggest you look up the Hawthorne study. Wikipedia is pretty good. There are better.

I would also suggest you go into this very, very carefully as the opportunities to damage your operation, by setting your operators, are many and varied.

There have been several discussions on this topic over the last couple of years. You might wish to look those up.

Sincerely,
