Dear all,

For internal manway rung design as shown in the attachment, can type # 1 be accepted in the United States without violating OSHA safety requirements ?

jtseng123, don't know the first about OSHA regs, but type #1 is widely used I believe. Seen it in many condenser waterboxes.

The rungs of an individual-rung ladder shall be so designed that the foot cannot slide off the end. A suggested design is shown in figure D-1.
