Does anyone have direct experience with applications involving marine grade aluminum coming into contact with liquid brine (23 - 26% NaCL) on a continuous basis at ambient temperatures?

My particular application involves 10 - 12 foot diameter, 8,000 - 12,000 gallons, flat bottom, dome top, atmospheric storage tanks for receiving bulk, pneumatic shipments of rock salt while a the same time dissolving the salt into concentrated brine for storage and distribution to ion exchange type water softeners.

Would 0.250" thick marine grade aluminum hold-up to these operating conditions for 20 year life or more? If so, are there any potential pitfalls?

I believe that the hull plates for ocean going ships is 5086. It has a high magnesium level that give it it's corrosion resistance from what I read.
Other grades are 5454 and 5083 from what I can tell.
Remember that the heat effect zones of welded aluminum have only about 15-25% of the plate after welding.
