Marking of rupture disk per Canadian B51

We have a high pressure, 30000 psi panel, made up of High Pressure Equipment and Autoclave products (nipples, valves, tees, ells, etc). The local Ontario TSSA inspector wants the rupture disk to be marked. The disk is about 3/8 in diameter and comes with a plate that details the capacity of the rupture disk. Still he wants the thing marked.

Have any of you any experience on what has / can be done to satisfy this requirement?

Call the mfg or what does he want it marked with if it already has that info on it??

Is your "panel" serving to protect an ASME stamped pressure vessel? If so, it needs an ASME certified relief device per ASME VIII, which your union-style disk is not. It may be perfectly adequate in terms of size etc., but it doesn't comply with the code. For disks, I'm pretty sure that ASME certification requires permanent marking on the disc (i.e. a disk plate, attached to the disc) which can be inspected without disassembly.

If the system consists only of piping/tubing, and the disc serves only to protect piping/tubing, you have reasonable grounds to argue with the TSSA inspector, as there is no requirement I'm aware of that a relief device protecting piping/tubing must be ASME certified.

Thanks for the replies. I have been out at the site.
I did find that Zook manufactures a 1/4 inch rupture disc that is both ASME UD stamped and has an Ontario CRN.
