The People's Republic has just passed a law requiring 5 GW of batteries be bought. The energy content is unspecified, but is thought to be likely to lie between 4 h and 10h, hence 20-50 GWh. By comparison one cold windless night in Australia would need 384 GWh

Taxpayer's money in your pocket, what's not to like? That's what all of these green energy companies are interested in. When the money goes, so do the projects.
