Greetings,
I am going to pursue a master degree in the field of Material Science and Engineering. I would like to do Master thesis in the field of Corrosion or metallurgical failure investigation for oil and gas industries.
Please share with me any proposed topics, if you have.
Thanks in advance.

It would be timely to discuss metallurgical failures related to hydrogen damage, and typical metallurgical specifications used to address this problem.

Hydrogen damage and cracking appears to be a field where some advances are being made by researchers. I follow the developments casually.
I normally would never recommend Linkedin for any purpose, but I suggest you investigate some of the groups that discuss this. There you will locate some important researchers in this field you could reach out to for guidance on a thesis topic.

Eissa,

You must have done your training at some oil and gas industry.

Ask them about the corrosion issues they are facing / collect failure analysis reports from them and select your topic.

In that way, your work would encompass both the university and the industry that could eventually help you land a job.
