Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone has any info or knows whether or not it is possible to assign a specific layer state to a layout tab. I am working with a drawing which will be plotted in both color and monochrome. The way it is set up right now I have two different layer states saved (color and mono), and two different layout tabs for plotting these drawings. In order to plot, you have to first switch to the correct layer state, then choose your layout tab and plot. It would just be nice if there was a manner in which it automatically chose the right layer state for a given layout tab. Any info or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

hi cessna,
of course You can save a layerstate in a layout tab. Freeze the layers in the current viewport.
->model-space thaw all layers
->change to the layout-space, click inside the viewport, which You want to edit
a ->type “layer”
->now You can freeze the layer only for this current viewport (on the right side)
b ->use the “freeze” button of the Express-Tools

BUT, You can use the *.ctb files monochrome.ctb and acad.ctb. So there’s no need to draw all objects twice. WHICH Acad-version are You running??????????

I hope it helpes…
regards Lothar
