Does anyone know about this material: B 58 Grade A
It is used in a pressure vessel for a semi-elipse head whereas shell is A106B.
It's manufactured in 1970s.
Thanks

B 58 is not listed among current ASTM, ASME or other specifications that I searched. A 508 is a standard for tempered steel forgings for pressure vessels. B 582 is nickel-chrome-iron-moly-copper alloy.

I am not completely sure of this, however, from a copy of the "Stahlschlussel" printed in 1992. There is reference to a B 58 that cross-references HASTELLOY alloy G, DIN 2.4618.
