Material for fire resistent Thermal Break between aluminium extrusions

Hi
I am looking for an appropriate materials to use for extruding into a "splice" shape that binds two aluminium profiles together. The only snag is the splice needs to be as fire resistant as possible. The design is similar to a thermal break splice used in external glazing frames.
Alternatively is there a company who specialise in high tempeature thermal break assemblies for a aluminium extrusions. (preferably in the UK or Germany)

Google for "Intumescent sealing Aluminium Profiles" gives a few hits to investigate - not sure whether you need fireproofing or high temp application...........
