Hello,
I'm looking for an injection moldable material that could be used as non-skid/slip component on a consumer product.
The non-skid component will be injection molded into the correct form and then bonded via some type of adhesive to an ABS shell. The adhesive will be selected based on the non-skid material that is chosen.
The purpose of the non-skid component is to prevent the consumer product from moving while it is being used. The non-skid component would be expected to interact with hard flat surface, like a kitchen counter, and also with soft surfaces, like an easy chair.
I was looking at NBR, EPDM, or PVC...but not sure if any of those are right or wrong. Not sure how to spec them out either.
Other factors: injection moldable, cheap, indoor household temp range, resistance to water, bondable with 'generic' adhesives, durable, low compression set, etc...
tia,
