I am looking for a stainless steel that I can use to make a cam. As a standard we use 1117 hot roll steel and carborize and harden to 58/60 Rc. The cam drives a spring loaded lever
and will have a stainless cam follower rolling on it.Is 440c the way to go here? The machine will be cleaned with a cloride solution. Thanks for any advice
