Material Form

Hello all.

My name is Pedro, and i'm from Setubal.

I've been looking for a form wich allows me to introduce a new material in our plant. I would need some fields like: Material type, Supplier, where used, etc etc.

Does anyone have some form like this?

Any clues where i can find something like this?

Your material handling group and/or purchasing will have an appropriate procedure.

I'm answering as though you work for a car company, since you are in the Automotive forum, but a minute of research suggests that is unlikely (unfortunate, that would be a lovely place to live).

The form i need os not for incomming, and /or quality.

Yes, i'm automotive.

I'm fron engineering, and work with BPCS AS400. I build BOM bill of materials for alo plant.
My goal is to verify where each material is used, check the qty, and keep that info in a document.

That ia the form i need. May be related with Manufacturing engineering.... I don't know.

Ah, ok, taking a wild guess you've got stuff, not parts, that gets used in production, such as tape, floor cleaner or whatever, we'd probably call that production consumables.

I'd talk to your purchasing group, or materials handling.

Then you need two fields. Where used and quantity.

Otherwise if you don't know how can you expect us to know what you need to do?

I like to start on the plant floor. Ask the people doing the work.

What do you need? What do you like? I solved the clean towel problem with a basic washer and dryer as well as a couple bundles of wash cloths from Costco. Otherwise people were using dirty towels becuse there was no way to clean them and purchasing scremed every time they wanted new ones.

I just hate it when someone is trying to get things done and they have to divert for piddly stuff.

Lots of stuff gets bought and never used. Sometimes people run around trying to find a box knife or a pen.
