I like to share the forum experience on material design for 600# Steam Super-heater coil in an Incinerator for waste heat recovery.

The gas burner uses sweet gas and flue gas temperature is about 1400 F (760 C). The off gases to burn contain 4 to 12%CO2, 0.5 to 1%SO2, about 140ppm CO and 5ppm of H2S.

For designed life of 10 years, Super-heater Coil is also required to run dry during an emergency for 30 minutes, maximum 5 times a year.

What is your final superheat steam temperature? Off hand, I would say 347H tubing would be suitable material under your proposed design conditions.

Design data is steam inlet temp = 260 C and outlet = 390 C.

Ok, this confirms the material recommendation above.

As long as the system is clean enough that you are not worried about external corrosion issues I'll second the 347H.
