Please this is urgent!!!

i have a problem calling my neural network sim( ) function through
the Vb interface... the matlab combuilder objects does NOT support
this because sim( ) does not work in the standalone mode.

is there any other way that i can call my neural network through VB.. OR anyother way to call matlab functions in VB other than the combuilder DLL's??
pleace mind that i can not re-write the neural network sim ( ) function
in C/C++ to make a MEX.

please help me..

(my application is a fingerprint authentication with neural network
made in MATLAB, which's interface is build with VB)

thanks in advance!

ashinie,
I have the same problem as you also. I have a trained neural network from matlab, which is used to predict protein secondary structures. I'm having trouble calling the sim() function from matlab.

Have you find a solutions yet?

Ditto. I'm having the same problem. One thought that I had was to use the Matlab C engine to call the function sim. This works well if you have an .exe file that calls function sim. However, I need to have a .dll call sim. Matlab's docs for the compiler for C engine show how to compile .exe but not .dll (otherwise I know how to compile .dll in Matlab).

If anyone has any thoughts, I would apprecaite it. Thanks.

This article seems to be somewhat on point. However, I am not familiar with the Simulink part of Matlab. Also, the article focuses on creating standalone apps, which you can do directly through the C engine without simulink. See .

However, none of these seem to solve my issue - I need to have a .dll call a mex function or matlab directly to simulate (with function "sim") a pretrained neural network.

Hope the above link helps with your issue. Please let me know if you have any additional thoughts on this. Thanks again for forwarding the article that you mentioned in your post.
