Hi,

I needed some materials for simulation that are not in my 2012 version of SolidWorks i.e. Alloy 6082T6.

I read the Matweb website part that described that if you take out the Premium membership you could download the material data straight into SolidWorks. Having done that I have found it useless as SolidWorks now says the data is incomplete i.e. no Poissons ratio so it defaults to zero and then no Elastic Modulus etc etc. I can enter the missing data but there are two issues with that; I don't know what values to enter (!) and I didn't expect to have to do it!!

Anyone else had experience? Please tell me I'm doing something wrong.

Not exactly useless but simply not what I had expected. I have now entered data for custom materials as required. Matweb kindly refunded my membership too. Nice chaps! [smile]
