When a Fixed Tube sheet Type Heat Exchanger is designed to ASME Sec VIII Div 1 with an Expansion joint (EJ-Thick joint) or an Expansion Bellow (EB-Thin joint) on Shell, and when Site Hydro test is to be based on MAWP(hot and corroded) and Shop Hydro Test is to be based on MAP(new and cold) in accordance with UG-99 (b)and(c),
1. Is it necessary to calculate MAWP / MAP for the component in question and is it necessary that such calculated values shall not be less than the Design Pressure of The Exchanger.
2. How to calculate such MAWP and MAP for EJ and EB. ASME Appendix 5 and 26 do not give the provisions for such calculations.
