I'm near complete on the design of a small triplane of WWI type configuration. Researched old naca poop, etc.etc...figure the moments at various speeds, developed tail loads...
But I'm unclear in determining a maximum aft CG position for stall or near static conditions with stall/spin recovery my primary concern. If I determine a stall speed and move the cg rearward incrementally until the tail load ceases to be a downward load or reaches zero and then move the cg forward enough to barely maintain maybe a 1% or 2% downward tail load, and considering that other factors are favorable for stall/spin recovery, does this sound reasonable? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
