Max Gap from Toekick to Adjacent Wall

Does anyone know if OSHA or IBC gives a maximum gap between a toekick and adjacent wall. We are trying to avoid placing guardrail on the back of a raised platform but have to get the platform far enough away from the building that we do not have to worry about seismic interaction between the two structures. See attached image. Thanks

Per this OSHA interpretation only a toe plate (no railing) is needed for a gap of up to 12" between a floor and equipment. I would use that, even though you are considering a wall instead of equipment.
