Maximal allowable pressure for actuators and maximal actuator blow up pressure

Hay !

Does there exist a standard which defines the maximal allowable working pressures of the valve actuators? Does somebody know some test which can be performed for this?
Can this be calculated?
What about maximaldamage pressure for the actuiator-by this I mean the pressure which can be applied to actuator until it does not blow up?
Any input is welcome.

An actuator is no different to any other piece of pressurised equipment.

Your specification and data sheet will define these items as will the vendor data.

This is a really quite a strange post so some background would be useful.

there is no such thing as "Maximal Damage pressure".

There is not a universal standard for this information. The answer to this is dependent on the type of actuator you are looking at, and the service it is used in. Your actuator should come with a tag indicating the operating pressure/temperature range. If your actuator is missing a tag you should contact the manufacturer to determine the maximum operating pressure. In any considered unsafe to exceed the operating pressure of an actuator. Most pneumatic actuators have some sort of regulator or relief device to prevent them from being over-pressurized.
