I'm trying to find the maximum allowable stress for B.S. 1501-151 grade 430A , so that i can check the minimum allowable wall thickness for a vessel, built to an old standard.

Its ASTM equivalent would also be useful.

Thanks for any help

BS 1501 has been superseded by BS EN 10028
ASTM equivalent: A516 Grade 70
At T = 260 °C allowable stress is 137 N/mm2
At T = 398 °C allowable stress is 102 N/mm2
At T = 482 °C allowable stress is 46 N/mm2
