Maximum bar spacing

Dear all,

Would anyone know what is the maximum bar spacing between longitudinal reinforcement allowed by Eurocode in a circular or a rectangular column?

Usually you should be right if you stick to a minimum of 1% reo in your columns.

If in doubt, think of it as a vertical beam - so keep the bars to 300mm max spacing (AUS Standard).

This is the Eurocode requirement.

Also, circular columns must have at least 4 bars.
